Making a Difference Is in Our DNA

We believe in improving outcomes for patients and their families by ensuring clinical trials provide access for all.

As our global population increases, the need for patient advocacy expands as many people are still given inadequate treatment. The World Health Organization reported in January 2017 that more than half (54%) of the 56.4 million deaths worldwide in 2015 were due to the top 10 causes. Diseases are responsible for nine of the top 10 causes of death, making it clear there is a dire need for improvements in healthcare.

Focus Areas

We focus our efforts on diversity in clinical trials and drug re-purposing, while also partnering with patient advocacy groups to further their missions.  As a business, we believe in powering smarter treatments for all, and this goal cannot be accomplished without acknowledging the diversity gap in clinical trials and thinking of alternative methods of treatment for patients.

Social Innovation Lab

We partner with patient advocacy groups and offer our leadership teams the opportunity to work on short-term projects with non-profit organizations to further their reach and to be an agent of change in our industry.  Finding solutions for future generations requires us to think outside of the box, which is why we are dedicated to supporting organizations that help patients.

We are focused on building the next generation of scientists and engineers by ensuring that all students have access to the tools they need to be successful. We have set a five-year goal to impact 15,000 students by providing them with the opportunity to learn about careers in STEM.

Accordingy to the U.S Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), it is projected that job growth in science, technology, engineering, and mathematetics will grow to more than nine million jobs between 2012-2022.

We are committed to making sure that students in our local communities have access to the education they need to be successful. We work with organizations and schools across the globe to support students by giving them the courses and supplies they need to excel.

We believe in empowering our youth and preparing them for the world that awaits, because our future depends on them.

We are committed to creating a sense of belonging for all at Medidata.

It is our diversity and inclusiveness that fuels innovation and sparks our passion to accelerate hope for optimal patient health. Diversity and inclusion are embedded in our culture, and we know that diverse teams win. We have established our global Diversity & Inclusion strategy, and in partnership with targeted external organizations, aligned our goals to advance diversity, inclusion, and gender parity; we are committed to moving the needle.

We have support from our Business Resource Groups (BRGs) that align to the business goals. Our BRGs include Women in Tech, Women of Color, Women@ Medidata, Remotians, Medidata Out, Veterans@ Medidata, and Black Employees at Medidata (BEAM). Through skills-based volunteering, we give our people the opportunity to support communities with the ultimate goal to empower smarter treatments and healthier people.
