Your Mission
Build an intelligence capability, process and platform that provides accurate and relevant competitive insights that enables Senior Executives and Sales to be more effective with our customers and prospective clientele.

Your Commitments
● Activity: Gather and synthesize data on Life Science and Healthcare trends and events; customer and competitive insights into actionable insights. Leverage primary and secondary sources. Manage 3rd-party outsource intelligence research vendors. Engage in projects with Medidata Strategy team.
● Outcomes: Influence prospect targeting and product positioning, and enable Marketing & Strategy teams to be more informed on new trends in Life Sciences and Healthcare

● Activity: Make quarterly updates to the existing library of Battle Cards
● Outcomes: Give Sales more frequent, and accurate intelligence on the competition.

● Activity: Create trend and competitive event postings
● Outcomes: Provide overall education to Medidata and enable Sales reps to be more intelligent in front of their customers

● Activity: Track financials and earnings transcripts of key competitors and CROs, looking for significant items
● Outcomes: Improve Early Warning. Allow us to be more intelligent and insightful on activities of key competitors and CROs.

● Activity: Maintain revenue and trial market share databases, involving data mining, scrubbing and analysis of external sources.
● Outcomes: Develop new sales opportunities and strategic insights.

● Activity: Conduct primary and secondary research (ex: profile on genomics in clinical trials, synthetic control arms) on emerging trends and competitors
● Outcomes: Identify new sales and strategic opportunities.

Your Competencies

● Excellent writing and analytical skills
● Ability to be adaptable and flexible while responding to deadlines on assignments, delays and unexpected events
● Sound experience in devising ways to extract data from many sources and translate this data into useful information
● Generate suggestions for improving work; develops innovative approaches and ideas

Education & Experience
● Bachelor’s degree required; or equivalent years of experience
● Requires a minimum of 5 years relevant work experience
